Bogart “Our Rising Star” he was not planned he just happened.
Our breeder contacted us, sent us pictures kept us updated on how this litter was doing….. etc. WOW what a cute group of puppies.
That was all great I did not want a show dog or a intacted male, too many problems.
Besides the fact I was scared of the entire idea and knew nothing about it.
So I was staying away.
The day can the this littLe guy was ready for his ears to be done and for his new home.
Another picture came I forwarded it to Dave and he said “I WANT THAT BOY”
my reply was “NO”.
Then I showed the pictures to the VP of Operations, his reply was you need a new puppy.
NO way later that day
he handed me a note one day that read “ GET THE DOG”.
Well needless to say I “GOT THE DOG” !!!
That was the best decision I think I have ever made. What a love he is!
His litter theme was “Hollywood” so off we go trying to name a puppy again.
Naming this puppy
was much easier then the naming Courtney.
This puppy was the pick of the litter the number one puppy,
so he needed a name that was strong and people would easily remember.
The first name Dave came up with was Oscar for the "Oscar Awards". Well when he told
me Oscar all I could think about was Oscar the thing that lives in a TRASH CAN.
NO way not for this FANCY boy. Back to the drawing board.
Bogart hum..... Bogart has a ring to it! The more you say it the cooler it becomes.
“BOGART” what a name he was a star, he was number one and everyone wanted him.
So Bogart stuck as his call name. Now we had to go for the AKC registered name.
Another not so easy step…..
Tevro’s Director’s Choice was prefect. That was the name it fit in every way possible.
Tevro's is the kennel he came from and Director's Choice came about because Bogart
was always the Director's first Choice. That is how our little boy got his wonderful start
and name with our family.
LET THE SHOWING BEGIN.......
Bogart started showing when he was exactly six months old.
He step out into that show ring for the first time and proved this was what he was bred for.
He was so comfortable in the show ring it was and still is amazing how awesome he is.
Bogart’s first show was in NAPA on Nov 8 2008 he was handled by Marj Brooks.
Bogart’s first six months of showing he was handled by Trevor Miller, whom was mentored by Marj Brooks. During that time he attended many show and got 2 points.
In late July 2009 a new handler was hired and they were an amazing team!!!
Thank you everyone that has taken Bogart and his parents under their paws.
Bogart's showing has turned around completely.
He loves the ring and he loves his mom. It shows in and out of the show ring.
You have to be CHEERY and Happy with him
no matter what or he will shut down.
Go BOBO Go.... Great Job mom we make a GREAT team!
GO TEAM WINCHELL GO.....
